Our Pricing Philosophy
Let's address the elephant in the room. Dog training is expensive. There's really no getting around it. We're super passionate about helping dogs in our community, but we also have to be functional as a business so that we have resources to reinvest back into the community. Most dog trainers are completely responsible for their own transportation, treats, equipment, education, certifications, apprenticeships, conferences, marketing, insurance and taxes. This makes the industry difficult for independent businesses and drives the market price for training up.
We promise to make our services as cost-effective as we can, as often as we can without sacrificing quality of life for ourselves and our dogs. We understand that dog training can be expensive, and we're committed to doing our part to help make it more accessible to everyone. Most often this is accomplished through packaging like services. However, we don't believe that most traditional dog-training packages are effective for the majority of domestic pets. Since we charge the same rate for all training services (except cooperative care), we've added in discounts for purchasing a bundle of lessons. The more lessons you book, the bigger the discount!

Puppy Bundles
Congrats on the new addition! We hope you're enjoying this wonderful time in your life! This bundle is designed to help you and your new puppy start off on the right foot. We'll work on teaching your puppy HOW to learn as well as the basics of how to exist in a household successfully. We'll begin working on basic obedience cues that will be helpful with the exuberant nature of puppies so that your puppy is primed for further training. This bundle is for anyone who just brought home - or simply has - a puppy and wants to learn how to teach their dog the “basics”. We’ll cover the skills you’ll need to teach your dog effectively, as well as ways to coexist in your home peacefully. In these lessons, we’ll cover things like sit, down, touch, stay, come, etc. The focus of this bundle is to introduce your puppy to the training process as well as set a precedent for what good behavior looks like in the home. Our comprehensive puppy bundles are best suited for dogs from 2-6 months old. We will have daily contact with your puppy which will allow us to set a precedent for what good behavior looks like. We’re more effectively able to help with potty training and house manners with daily visits. This package is completely customizable to ensure that the basics are covered in addition to any specific requests that you have. We have both 60-minute and 30-minute options for maximum flexibility in your budget and life.

Training Bundles
These are our standard training sessions, detailed above, but if you buy in bulk, we offer discounts! If you have already purchased a 1-on-1 lesson and decide you want to upgrade to a bundle deal, you may do so at any time before, during or after the lesson (up to 48 hours). This will lock in your bundle pricing, and then we'll invoice you for the difference.

Training bundles are 1 lesson every other week.
In addition to lessons purchased, all bundle prices include a prerequisite 60m deep-dive session and a post-lesson virtual/phone/text 30m off-week check-in.
$1/mile will be charged for lessons more than 20 miles away from the Roses & Rovers Headquarters in Bluff City, TN.

Subscriptions
Training Subscription
This subscription is designed for long-term behavior modification goals. Because we can only ask so much of our dogs at a time, that means some goals will take longer to accomplish than others. For cases that will take longer and/or will need more lessons to accomplish our goals to completion, this subscription is designed to be more economical than purchasing a large number of individual 1-on-1 lessons or multiple bundles.
Dog Walking M-F
Does your dog need a workout buddy? Or maybe you work all of the daylight hours? Whatever the reason, we’re here for you! These walks are non-training 30 & 60-minute walks where we’ll let your dog be a dog - with proper supervision, of course! You can rest assured that we’ll make sure to let them have access to fresh water, an enrichment item if available and a potty break before we part ways for the day each visit. We do ask that all daily, weekly and monthly walks be scheduled at least one week in advance or be subject to scheduling availability.

Outreach
The following services and discounts are our way of giving back to the community. We offer Service Dog in Training at discounted rates, and training discounts for dogs adopted through shelters. All outreach services are subject to approval.
Shelter Rescue Discount
We are happy to support our local shelters and rescues by offering 10% off training services (in addition to bundle/subscription discounts), if your pup was adopted from accredited shelter within the last 6 months.

Service Dog in Training
This subscription is for dog-human teams who would like their dogs to be task-trained for service work. This may include therapy, hospice, service, medical and courtroom work. These packages come in two different time commitments - 3 and 6 months. Since we understand that service work is necessary but can be cost-prohibitive, we wanted our pricing structure to reflect that. You’ll determine the time commitment that best suits your needs and be charged monthly for the length of the contract. We’ll focus on task-specific behaviors as well as socialization to determine the level at which you and your dog can perform these tasks.
